Social Scene Fun Fact: Hard Truth Distilling Co. is the first to produce an agave-spirit drink in the state of Indiana.
It is known that if a tequila isn’t made in Mexico, then it’s not a tequila. But Indiana’s Hard Truth Distilling Co. pressed on to make the state's first agave spirit.
They made it from 100 percent blue agave nectar that is imported from Mexico. Then, they cooked the piña of the blue agave plant and extracted the fermentable portion from it. Afterwards, they distilled and fermented it in the product in-house.

Heaven Hill Brands, founded in 1935 by the Shapira brothers, it is reputed to have created some of the best spirits in the market today.
They’re known for producing Lunazul, a 100% Agave Tequila, rested in Bourbon barrels for six months and then bottled at 40 percent alcohol by volume.

Using local bounty and natural ingredients to produce spirits that are full of flavor in small batches is the goal of Spirits of St. Louis’. Their famous Agave Blue American Style Tequila, from blue agave nectar, has helped them earn the moniker “the second distillery to produce a tequila-style spirit”.
They age the agave-spirit in whiskey barrels for six months prior to bottling, softening the agave with oak-drive flavors of vanilla and caramel.

Tailwinds Distilling Company

Tailwinds Distilling Company produces 100% Blue Agave Spirits, with agave plants from the foothills of Guadalajara. It varies in silver and rested agave.
The Silver 100% Blue Agave Spirit is a smooth spirit, which is slowly and carefully blended over several days down to its bottle proof of 80 (40% ABV) before it is lightly filtered. Its final product is a flavor with subtle hints of white flowers and white grapes.
TC Craft Spirits

Once upon a time, two brothers possessed a deep passion for tequilas. From this passion came the start of TC Craft Tequila’s story.
This distillery used the best ingredients to offer a full range of aging tequilas: Blanco, Reposado, and an Anejo, all kept in Tennessee-made oak casks. Each batch is bottled locally on site in artisan bottles, hand labeled, packed and shipped to Nashville for distribution.
Their agave is steamed in clay ovens. After which, it’s double distilled for balance of smoothness and flavor.
