Herman Marshall, which started operating in 2013 is owned by Herman Beckley and Marshall Louis. They are known for producing a bourbon made with Texas-grown corn, rye, and a single-malt whiskey. With their pure dedication to their craft, they won a bronze medal at the 2015 International Whiskey Competition with their Texas Bourbon.
Owners Likarish brothers have a huge love and passion for spirits, thus their brand, the Iron Root Republic, crafting products while giving tribute to their Texas roots. Lewisville-based Witherspoon Distillery, the makers of the finest Texas Bourbon and rum also hosts a whiskey tour that lasts approximately 60 minutes. Tour includes a spirit tasting and a taste of their famous rum cake. This small batch craft distillery explains their spirits which covers all parts of the distilling process. Tours at Witherspoon are $10 and open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays.
