Founder Joe Beatrice never runs out of new ideas. As a long-time homebrewer and experienced marketing and technology entrepreneur, Joe understands the potential of good spirits. In 2013, he founded Barrell Craft Spirits, determined to chart a new course.

Through their sourcing and blending, the company focuses on remaining unique. Joe has been joined at the company by Tripp Stimson, Master Distiller, who began working with Joe in 2017. Together, they have continued to develop Barrell Craft Spirits’ interesting product formulation. In 2016, Will Schragis joined the company in product development and is now the National Director. He previously worked at Zachys Retail and Auction, which became the first retailer of Barrell Bourbon Batch 001. This was where he met Joe.
Named by Fred Minnick at Forbes as the Best American Whiskey of 2018, Barrell Craft Spirits is also highly rated by Whisky Advocate. It won Best Small Batch Bourbon over 11 years old at the 2019 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and has bagged plenty of medals for its bourbon and rum in previous years.
