The wine industry in Chicago has really taken off with many wineries and wine shops further heating up summer with so many surprises, with a lot of these venues opening their doors to hold wine tours, tastings, classes, and events. Chicago Rosé Fest - A Rosé Tasting at I|O Godfrey Rooftop

October 6th, 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
IO Godfrey Rooftop Lounge (127 West Huron Street)

 

 

Attendees to the Chicago Rosé Fest will have three hours of rosé tastings, giveaways, and lots of other surprises. The I|O Godfrey Rooftop is the prime location for such sophisticated gatherings as it gives views of the River North Neighborhood’s panoramic skyline, fire pits, and some water elements.

 

2nd Annual Luxury Tasting

October 25th, 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

It is the 2nd Annual Luxury Tasting in the Herbarium at Bad Hunter along N Halsted Street in Chicago. Over 50 fabulous wines await attendees such as bubbly champagne poured from magnum bottles. Preview exciting new releases of 2015 Bordeaux, 2016 Chateauneuf-du-Pape, and 2016 Port with California offerings from great producers like Pahlmeyer, Ridge, Flowers, Paul Hobbs and Shafer.

Gusbourne Wine Dinner & Seminar with Laura Rhys, Master Sommelier

October 18th, 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
City Winery Chicago (1200 W Randolph Street)

 

 

The Gusbourne Wine Dinner & Seminar is an educational experience with master sommelier Laura Rhys. She started her wine career in 2004 after gaining a degree in hospitality from college and taking a WSET course, which led her to focus on wine. In 2009, Rhys won the coveted UK Sommelier of the Year competition, one of the few women who won the title.

 

Morton's & Mondavi Present: A Taste of Two Legends

October 27th, 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Morton's & Mondavi Present: A Taste of Two Legends is an event that pays tribute to Napa Valley's most famous and oldest wine making family – the Mondavis. There will be world-class wines to be served alongside a multiple-course meal with appetizers at the reception and desserts.

2018 Fall Wine And Food Gala

November 4th, 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Via Bella (5412 South La Grange Road, Countryside)

 

Around 30 minutes from Chicago is Via Bella in Countryside, Illinois, the venue for the 2018 Fall Wine and Food Gala on November 4th. More than 250 wines will be featured and gift certificates to be raffled as you participate in this great event. The best food pairings with wine will be served and VIP attendees get to taste unique, highly allocated wines for more than an hour before the door opens for the general public.

 

The North Shore Benefit Wine & Spirits Event

November 10th (5 p.m. - 10 p.m.) and November 11th (2 p.m. - 7 p.m.)

The North Shore Benefit Wine & Spirits Event supports The Holiday Heroes and is a wine and spirits tasting of different brands from all over the world. The Holiday Heroes has a program for helping hospitalized children make good memories and offer each other a joyous experience. Brand representatives will educate attendees about imported and local beverages, and attendees can purchase bottles and cases to take home after the event.

It’s free-flowing Pinot Nnoir and Pinot Gris at Wine Dinner With MacMurray Estate featuring MacMurray Vineyards located in Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley. The winery specializes in these varieties and attendees will be treated to a luxurious five-course menu of food and wine pairings.

Lynfred Winery’s products are going to be featured during the Wine Tasting Cruise with Shoreline Sightseeing, an event that will introduce a short wine course, various tastings from wines and other refreshments. All will be done through a cruise with sightseeing around Chicago’s wondrous waterways. The cruise is set to depart from Polk Bros Park in Navy Pier. Lynfred Winery is the oldest family-owned winery in the city.

 

Chicago Private Yacht Party - "Wine Crawl on the Lake"

September 23rd, 11:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Free Spirit Yacht Cruises Burnham Harbor (600 E Waldron Drive)

 

 

Food, Wine & Spirits Ventures, Inc. organizes Wine Crawl On The Lake, an event that lets you try various wines from an open bar and get to see outstanding views of Chicago’s shoreline. You’ll board a chartered private yacht which will depart from Burnham Harbor at exactly 11:45 a.m. so make sure to be early. Meeting place is at the picnic area of the venue’s boathouse for check-in and initial reminders.

 

Wine Dinner With Joel Gott Winery

September 25th, 6:30 p.m. - 8:45 p.m.

Join the Wine Dinner With Joel Gott Winery as the event features a custom five-course menu of food and wine pairings, along with a winery representative as guest speaker. The event starts with appetizers and the first pairing happening at 6:30 p.m., followed by the seated dinner at 7:00 p.m.
