2. Fun Runs

Run with zombies and fight for your lives, this theme in Dallas awaits you. Aside from the idea of these fun runs to be as exhilarating as possible, you know it will be great to sneak some cardio into your Halloween activities. One of the events you can attend is at Haunt Jaunt Nighttime 5K and Fun Run happening on October 20th, at Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve.

The organizers provided a goal for locals to enjoy Halloween in a way that is very close to nature. The trail will include paved park trails, streets, and areas that showcase the beauty of Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve. Children are also invited to join. For each child registered for the fun run, one free adult entry will be granted. How exciting, huh?!

3. Haunted House Tours

Spot ghosts before they spot you. Dallas is holding tons of Haunted House tours this Halloween and there are literally a lot of choices. Each tour offers a distinct experience to attendees and organizers are making sure they have the greatest ideas to keep visitors coming in. One of these tours, to be held at the Cutting Edge Haunted House, will house guests to one of the largest venues in the city with an eerily realistic setup alongside live actors, life-size mannequins and special effects certain to freak you out.

Actors are also playing a part in another tour at Dark Hour Haunted House, a venue that follows a manor-style design to feature animatronics, Broadway-inspired sets, and a tour around the witches’ coven. There are more haunted house tours but we would not hang you gaping without this one, a Japanese-themed haunted house attraction at Dan’s Haunted House. The tour is bound to feature characters from Japanese folklore.

4. Masquerade Parties

Perhaps the lighter side of Halloween with less scary costumes is your idea of a celebration. How about joining the fun at a masquerade party? If you are the type of Halloween enthusiast who likes it lyrical, classy and sophisticated, you might want to attend one of these masquerade balls. Enjoy breathtaking views of the skyline right at the rooftop in W Dallas Rooftop Halloween Night Masquerade. Drinks will be served and over 400 people are expected to attend.

If you are up for a 19th century-inspired masquerade party on the other hand, then this Masquerade Bash at Old Red Museum of Dallas County History & Culture is for you. Built in 1892, the venue is continually restored to stand strong and host parties like this. Winners of best in costume will be announced in these categories: sexiest costume, scariest costume, funniest costume, and group costume.
